Dr. Patricia Flippin-Westfall

Dr. Patricia Flippin-Westfall, is a Searcy native and attended Harding University where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She then traveled to Memphis Tennessee, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1999.

Upon graduating, Dr. Flippin-Westfall returned to Searcy to better serve her community and join her father, Dr. Howard Flippin, in upholding over 50 years of their family’s legacy in optometry.

Since 1999, Dr. Flippin-Westfall has grown her practice at Searcy Eye Care Center and in 2019 became President/Optometrist with Jacksonville Vision Development Center in Arkansas.

Dr. Flippin-Westfall is an active board member of the Arkansas Optometric Association and has been awarded numerous accolades including the Special Service Award and Optometrist of the Year from the association. In addition to receiving distinguished awards from the Arkansas Optometry Association, she has also served as their Treasurer and President.

She is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and currently a diplomate for them. Becoming a diplomat provides her with a strong will to further her education in the field of optometry. As such, Dr. Flippin-Westfall is an active member of the American Optometric Association, American Public Health Association, College of Optometrist in Vision Development, Optometric Extension Program, and Arkansas Eye Associates. She was also a past board member of the Department of Health.

Outside of the office, she is heavily involved in the community participating in numerous local organizations such as the Searcy Lions Club, Searcy Day of Caring Community, and the Arkansas Special Olympics Eye Examination Program.

Dr. Flippin-Westfall’s extensive background and experience enable her to accurately and efficiently diagnose and treat many ocular conditions and diseases. This makes her practice an excellent choice for all of your optometric needs.


Dr. Alexandra Reid Meredith O.D

Dr. Alexandra Reid Meredith, O.D. is a licensed Optometrist at Searcy Eye Care Center.  An Arkansas native, Dr. Meredith grew up in Mountain Home, AR and graduated from Cotter High School. She received a B.S. in Biology at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.  As an undergraduate, Dr. Meredith discovered her passion for eye care.  She attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where she recently graduated with her doctorate of Optometry.

Dr. Meredith has a wide variety of training in ocular disease treatment and management including Glaucoma, Diabetes, Macular Degeneration, Hypertension, Dry eye therapies, and post-op care of Cataract and Corneal surgeries.  She also is trained to fit contact lenses and specialty contact lenses such as toric, multifocal, and monovision lenses.

Dr. Meredith and her husband, Dr. Winn Meredith of Heber Springs Eye Care Center, live in Heber Springs along with their dog, Revo.  She enjoys fitness and being outdoors, whether it be fishing, floating, and paddleboarding, or sitting on the porch.  She loves to cook, sketch, and paint.  Dr. Meredith and her husband enjoy volunteering and interacting with the community.
