Meet the Optometrists


Dr. Patricia Flippin-Westfall

Dr. Patricia Flippin-Westfall, a Searcy native as well as a Harding University graduate, received her Doctorate of optometry in the spring of 1999 from the Southern College of Optometry. Upon graduation, Dr. Flippin Westfall joined her father, Dr. Howard Flippin, continuing a family legacy of over 50 years in optometric care.

Dr. Flippin Westfall is an active board member for the Arkansas Optometric Association from whom she has received many distinguished awards including Young Optometrist of the Year and Optometrist of the Year. She is also Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry. She has served as Treasurer and President for the Arkansas Optometric Association.

She is also a member of The American Public Health Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, the Arkansas Eye Associates and is a board member for the Arkansas Department of Health.

Dr. Flippin Westfall participates with many local organizations including the Searcy Lions Club, Searcy Day of Caring and the Special Olympics. Dr. Flippin Westfall is a Fellow of the College of Optometrist in Vision Development. She is diplomate of the A.B.O. With her extensive background in the diagnosis and management of many ocular diseases including Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Diabetic Retinopathy and the treatment of certain ocular conditions through Vision Therapy,  Dr. Flippin Westfall and her staff come first for all of your Optometric needs.


Dr. Alexandra Reid Meredith O.D

Dr. Alexandra Reid Meredith, O.D. is a licensed Optometrist at Searcy Eye Care Center.  An Arkansas native, Dr. Meredith grew up in Mountain Home, AR and graduated from Cotter High School. She received a B.S. in Biology at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.  As an undergraduate, Dr. Meredith discovered her passion for eye care.  She attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where she recently graduated with her doctorate of Optometry.

Dr. Meredith has a wide variety of training in ocular disease treatment and management including Glaucoma, Diabetes, Macular Degeneration, Hypertension, Dry eye therapies, and post-op care of Cataract and Corneal surgeries.  She also is trained to fit contact lenses and specialty contact lenses such as toric, multifocal, and monovision lenses.

Dr. Meredith and her husband, Dr. Winn Meredith of Heber Springs Eye Care Center, live in Heber Springs along with their dog, Revo.  She enjoys fitness and being outdoors, whether it be fishing, floating, and paddleboarding, or sitting on the porch.  She loves to cook, sketch, and paint.  Dr. Meredith and her husband enjoy volunteering and interacting with the community.
